WIP [3]

I know this is late, but better late than never.

This week was kind of crazy, had to pack up all my stuff so that I could take it all back to school. Anyway I'm back now and settled in, FINALLY.

I realized I really enjoyed taking pictures of rural and urban settings and contrasting them. Really just examining the world we live in general and seeing the beauty in nature and man made things.

Sunday: I FINALLY polished my lita's (the before is in the back).OOTD here.

Tuesday: Had to get my picture taken. FOTD and half of an OOTD.

Fab Finds!

I went thrifting this past Friday and scored some sweet denim pieces. I had stopped by Target right before and bought two denim tops, both on sale (one $16.08 and the other $6.88).

**Ignore the blurriness, had my camera on manual focus and didn't realize it.

 I have been looking tirelessly for a new denim top but didn't want to pay too much (bargain hunter). I usually never had any luck in thrift stores because I'm so petite and what I DO find is entirely to large for me to wear and make work. So I gave in and bought the tops, which were really cute and worth it. Or so I thought.

I ended up stopping at Vinnies (St Vincent Du Paul) and as luck would have it I hit the proverbial mother load. Literally found 6 denim tops. I ended up buying 3 of them (one was a heavier denim, between a shirt and a jacket and another one even had rhinestones)!

I also bought a pair of acid wash high waist jeans and an acid wash jacket for $1 each! SCORE!

I'll be rocking a lot of denim (on denim) looks now! Also look for a DIY, thinking about bleaching and adding studs to some of the pieces.

I found this camera for $3. I have a thing for vintage cameras and the straps they come with.

Styled: Denim

I just wanted to say a quick thanks to everyone that stops by my blog, my new subscribers, basically anyone reading this right now. Thank you!

I was in the middle of packing and I felt inspired to style some of my new denim purchases. It might be a little bit of a denim overload for some, but I love it. I kind of felt like an character from an 80's movie (think Flashdance).

LOVE that jacket, especially the fringe.

I pulled out my white damsels for this one (hauled here). I think they complete the look, now I just need an occasion to wear it out to.

What's up? How's it hanging? How you doing?

This week was filled with driving, sigh! I've never driven so much in such a short amount of time, TWO trip to Chicago and back. That 20 hours right there, plus a 6 hour trip to a small town in WI.
Anyway I'm glad that that's behind me now.

I didn't get everyday this week :( but I got a lot of random pictures from the trip down to Chicago. Lots of farm land, I missed a great opportunity to photograph people on the lake ice fishing. Oh well, I enjoyed the nap I was taking at the time.

I got a chance to test out my action shot function while the car was moving. Pretty cool.

Monday- Trip #2 Minocqua. I thought MY town was small. I was wrong, it was super corny/stereotypical small cabin town. But kind of cute.

Tuesday- I think I might've slept the whole day. It happens.


Wednesday- Trip #3 Chicago: Rural vs Industrial/Urban

Thursday- I washed my hair today. Yeah it was as exciting as it sounds. Unofficial length check.

Friday- Went thrifting today and FINALLY picked up my new glasses. It also snowed the night before and for whatever reason I was really excited about it.

Saturday- I was setting up my lighting for BlckGld pictures (up by tomorrow or Monday). I used Simeon as my focus point.
